We will again be awarding the "Michelle Swaney Memorial Award for Club Person of the Year" at the upcoming Presentations Day to be held on Sunday 21st March 2021. Michelle was a much loved and respected former coach, administrator, and life member of Cove Tigers Netball Club who sadly passed away in 2014. The purpose of the award is to acknowledge an outstanding individual who has shown dedication, commitment, and made a significant contribution to netball at our club. The award is open to any individual, regardless of age.

To be eligible to win this award the individual must meet the following criteria:

• Has volunteered in any capacity during the 2020/21 period;
• Is an outstanding member of the club;
• Acts in the best interests of all Cove Tigers Netball Club members;
• Responds positively to all officials of the game;
• Encourages good sportsmanship and equity;
• Works honestly with all club members in a team environment for the advancement of Cove Tigers Netball Club, and netball within our area;
• Abides by the Netball Australia "Member Protection Policy" and the "Codes of Behaviour";
• Shows a good knowledge of the rules, etiquette, and tradition of the game;

Is there is someone that YOU think deserves to be nominated? If so please send us their name and an explanation (100 words or less) as to why they deserve it, and how they meet the criteria. Once all nominations have been received, they will be checked, and a shortlist produced. All members will then be invited to vote for the person they think most deserves the award.
